The werewolves are coming...on my blog. I'm pleased to have another author from the Got Wolf? taming of the Wolf anthology as a guest on my blog today.
Isabel Roman is author of the novella, Shadow State, a story set in Nazi Germany.
Shadow State by Isabel Roman
Fighting to prevent the Nazi's from gaining wehrwolfe army, Christoph and Elsa tread a serpentine path between an amibitious party man and their primal need for each other.
An excerpt from the Shadow State:
“Hitler,” Christoph said disgusted, “now has complete authority. This insignificant man from nowhere walked into The Reichstag, castrated them, and crowned himself like Napoleon.”
“We must take precautions, Christoph.” Hans said over his shoulder and paced to the large antique map of Germany on the far wall. Dark markers indicated the location of the Clan’s twenty Packs.
Christoph didn’t need to look at the markers. He knew where every Pack was located and where every family lived. No one moved without first informing him. During the past several years of turmoil and hardships, more members relocated to their Clan center in Lower Saxony, but thousands still lived as they had for generations.
Peter joined Hans by the map, but Christoph’s attention was drawn to the missive.
“Stories of the Chancellor’s—of the Führer’s—interest in the unusual, the occult, are surfacing,” Hans reminded. “Should just one of us be discovered--?”
Christoph looked up at his advisors, his closest friends. “We already have been.”
Isabel will be giving away a pdf copy of the anthology Got Wolf? taming of the Wolf. All you have to do is leave a comment today on this post or tomorrow when I'll be posting my interview with her were hero, Christoph.
So, be sure to stop back to see what he has to say for himself.

Thanks for having me, Susan! I see you're pretty busy with other Got Wolf? authors. Have we converted you to the were side yet?
Hi, Isabel! While I don't know if I can do justice to a were character of my own, I do enjoy reading them. Dawn Thompson's Ravencliff Bride was the book that drew me into the whole shifter universe.
And I'm reading your story now--just a few chapters in so far--but it looks to be a great read!
Just need to find time to cuddle up with that Wolf anthology.
This story sounds intriguing, Isabel. Best of luck with lots of sales. The cover is awesome and really draws my attention. What is it about a wolf????
Hi Isabel! I loved Shadow State. What a great read, and Christoph - now he's a hot one :) I'm glad that the anthology is doing so well. Congratulations on your story. Wishing you MANY sales.
Mickey
Isabel and Susan,
Congratulations on your intriguing stories. I love werewolf stories, as you probably already know, both to read and to write. :-)
Both of your covers are great! Congratulations!
Jeanmarie
Thanks for stopping by, Jeanmarie and Paisley! It's great to see you here. And Mickey, Christoph, I know! Yum...oh, where was I? Yes, thanks! The anthology is a great read. :)
Thanks for stopping everyone! I can't wait to get back to reading Shadow State! I've only had time for a tiny taste so far. LOL.
Now that got me going! What a story. My husband is a History Channel nut. I call it the Hitler Channel. So to hear this plot and place I found very novel an idea. A sure must read for me!
I am loving all these excerpts and teasers from "Got Wolf". All of the stories sound fabulous.
Thanks for coming on over, Mary and Debra. Yeah, The History Channel is known as the Hitler or WWII Channel. I get tired of it often, but they always have interesting things on some esoteric aspects. I couldn't resist. :)
Debra, I agree, all the stories were great.
